Amelia's Curtain / La Cortina de Amelia

Amelia's Curtain pays homage to the great, late, female artist Amelia Pelaez who lived in Cuba and was well known for her ceramics, tempura, oil paintings and drawings. Born in Yaguajal, in the Santa Clara province of Cuba in 1896, she became most famous for her works between 1924-1967. She passed away on April 8, 1968, and on November 14, 1968, the Museo Nacional de Cuba inaugurated a gigantic exhibition which was a retrospect of paintings and drawings (163, including murals) and ceramics (64 pieces).
