The Round Table / La Mesa Redonda

In this painting you see only one chair. This means only one person is sitting at the table. It represents how communism acts as an agent to divide and separate the family unit, and scatters them about as to not allow any sense of power as a family. The regime is represented by the ever-present eye. It also shows a lack of food and a sense of drunkenness, keeping people in a state of limbo by controlling food, clothing, electricity etc., and creating a sense of fear in them. People are afraid of retaliating for fear of having what little they have taken away and being left with nothing. The system uses fear and separation as its main tool to maintain power and control.
