Artist inspiration:
A painting that was created after having dinner with a good friend of mine at a Cuban restaurant in Miami, Florida, called “La Carreta.” We were having dinner when my friend expressed her desire for me to paint for her a painting that had some of the elements from a painting that was on the wall of the restaurant. We both sketched out the design of how the painting would look. We changed a few things and there you have it, the end results. Instead of palm trees in the background, the painting contained sugar canes. Instead of a soothing beach scene with the guitar, there was a guitar with a Cuban flag emblem running down the middle of it. And one final touch: a heart on the guitar, something that my friend likes to collect as Christmas tree ornaments. I personalized the painting by doing this for her. That was my idea.
