As part of their silent auction I have donated three pieces, from both my Afro-Caribbean and Elements & Value series.

This legacy event aims to generate crucial funds for Amigos’ numerous programs and vital services aimed at empowering families to thrive. Recognizing the significance of a nurturing environment for children, Amigos works tirelessly to provide essential resources, such as after school enrichment programs, parent education, and wrap-around support for struggling families.

The Merici Academy Alumnae Association holds its annual luncheon at Colegio Belen in Miami on September 24, 2023. In honor of my dear friend and Merici alumnae, Gladys Rodriguez-Dod, I have donated a piece of artwork for this special occasion.
Merici Academy was a private, Catholic, bilingual elementary and secondary school for girls established in Havana by American Ursuline nuns in 1941. All classes were taught in English, except for the requisite elementary curriculum conducted in Spanish. The Academic course was much like an American high school, and the Commercial and Secretarial courses offered bilingual business training.

The King Mango Strut Parade is South Florida’s Premiere event for unrestrained parody in the sun without any sunscreen required. It’s mucho mango irreverence, filled with twitterlicious satire and skits that makes fun of everything and anything… including itself!

Art Basel and Masters’ Mystery Art Show (MMAS) at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, Miami Beach, Fl. for the benefit of Florida International University’s Master’s in Fine Art program.
The Masters’ Mystery Art Show, a high profile exhibition and sale of original artist’s works to benefit the Florida International University’s MFA program, will take place at the Miami Beach Ritz Carlton concurrently with Art Basel Miami Beach. Works donated by established artists, including some international stars, will be shown along with famous architects, designers and celebrities. All works will have a fixed size (6”x 9”) and will be sold at a fixed and very affordable price – $50. The mystery is that while the names of the participants will be widely publicized, the artists will not be identified during the exhibition, and the signature on each work will only be revealed after the sale is completed. So the public has to “play detective.”

The Coral Gables Community Foundation presents the 2010 GALA “J’adore Paris” which will be held on Friday, October 29th at the elegant Comber Hall located next to the Church of the Little Flower in Coral Gables, Florida.
This year’s black-tie affair will be spectacular as they transport their guests to the glamorous and romantic city of Paris. The evening begins with their signature silent auction and sparkling Bacardi cocktail reception, followed by a decadent dinner, Bacardi bar, lively entertainment, and dancing into the night at the AFTER PARTY.
The Foundation has chosen my artwork entitled, “Rever de Vous” (Dreaming of You), for their invitation image and a limited edition, 48″ x 24″ will be auctioned at the Gala.

The South Florida Film Festival is hosted by The South Florida Youth Film Workshop, Incorporated (501c3) who’s mission is to mentor South Florida youth to prepare them for careers in the film and entertainment industry. This year’s film festival runs from July 14-18 with screenings at the Paragon Theatre in CocoWalk, 3015 Grand Ave., Coconut Grove, Fl.
As part of the Film Festival, the South Florida Film Initiative Luncheon will be held on July 14 at Noon at the Coconut Grove Women’s Club, 2985 S. Now known as The Collector’s Auction for the caliber of the artworks available for bid, The International Kids Fund (IKF) Latin American Art Auction 2008 attracts serious art aficionados each year. For this year’s auction, more than 100 prominent artists have donated works, and the selection of art is more exciting than ever. The event, chaired by Rosy Cancela, benefits the International Kids Fund, a program of Jackson Memorial Foundation that pays for critical treatment, surgery and care for children with life threatening conditions. Art Basel and Masters’ Mystery Art Show (MMAS) at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, Miami Beach, Fl. for the benefit of Florida International University’s Master’s in Fine Art program.
The Masters’ Mystery Art Show, a high profile exhibition and sale of original artist’s works to benefit the Florida International University’s MFA program, will take place at the Miami Beach Ritz Carlton concurrently with Art Basel Miami Beach ‘04. The project will follow a format wildly successful in Europe. Works donated by established artists, including some international stars, will be shown along with famous architects, designers and celebrities. All works will have a fixed size (6″x 9″) and will be sold at a fixed and very affordable price. The is that while the names of the participants will be widely publicized, the artists will not be identified during the exhibition, and the signature on each work will only be revealed after the sale is completed. So the public has to “play detective.”
