Artist inspiration:
This painting represents all religious individuals who believe that they are better than others and have the right to judge others, simply because they are religious and according to their own beliefs, have earned that right. I say that to truly feel God, or whatever that may represent to you, one must go beyond our human capabilities and see the greater picture to realize that we are all equal under the eyes of the higher power. To love, to forgive, to feel, that is the essence of the higher power within us. To think of yourself as self-righteous, or to anoint yourself, as when one puts oil on oneself as a sign of sanctification or consecration in a religious ceremony, then you slander your neighbor, is only a farce. The fact is that life consumes us one way or another and it is the quality time spent here, on this earth, with the ones we love, that really counts in this lifetime. True Love is knowing everything about another person and loving them anyway.
