Artist inspiration:
This piece, along with “Reminiscing the Countryside of my Youth,” represents a Caribbean countryside lifestyle which is projected in a modern style to show my dual heritage (Cuban-American). There is a secret behind these two paintings that I choose not to disclose. The secret lies in my inspiration. You will notice that the woman looks out of place on her imaginary blue horse, symbolizing that she is there only in thought, not in reality — dwelling on a past long ago forgotten.
