Artist inspiration:
This painting deals with the pain of losing a loved one. With the pain of seeing a person who was once vibrant and full of life wither away to nothing. To see the changes that take place also puts us in touch with our own mortality. Something many of us wish we didn’t have to deal with. But death is real and part of life. Without death, there can be no life, and without life, there can be no death. We merely exist eternally on different planes.
