Artist inspiration:
This piece is truly a Gift of Love by the artist. It was originally created specifically for the Simon Youth Foundation, where 12” x 12” limited edition reproductions were created to be awarded to local Miami, Florida recipients. Subsequently, the image was used to raise funds for the American Red Cross in support of the International Response Fund Haiti Earthquake operation in 2010, by selling the first ever and only Open Edition in an 11” x 11” format, which raised $6,000. The Open Edition piece has also been used to help fundraise after other natural disasters.
