Artist inspiration:
This piece is part of a collection I began in 2017 and which I call “The Fire Red” collection. 2017 was the year of the Rooster according to the ancient Chinese zodiac. But moreover, the year of 1957, the year of my birth, belongs to the Fire element based on the Chinese’s Five Elements. So, people with the Chinese zodiac of Rooster born in 1957 are considered the Fire Rooster, hence the name Fire Red (Rooster). Each piece in the original collection contains 24k gold leaf.
