Two-Faced Series

Two-Faced Series

Launched in 2001, the Two-Faced Series explores the enduring theme of duality in human nature. Working within Contemporary Figurative Expressionism, Rodez examines the coexistence of two selves: the outward persona projected to the world and the inner self that quietly searches for harmony, resilience, and truth.

Through bold lines, vibrant color fields, and symbolic motifs, these works transform psychological complexity into layered visual narratives. Each painting oscillates between figuration and abstraction, reflecting the tension between identity and appearance, faith and doubt, fragility and strength.

The series engages viewers in a direct dialogue with their own dualities, revealing that resolution lies not in denying contradiction but in embracing it. By presenting the human spirit as inherently multifaceted, Rodez underscores that authenticity and balance are found in acknowledging both faces of our shared existence.
